Leeds is the promised land

Hey y’all!

Leeds is truly the promised land. This is the greatest ward ever!! Everyone is SO missionary minded! Gosh I’m so happy and I just love it here!!

Tuesday we had MLC!! I seriously LOVE MLC. This time I was just so filled with love for the ABM! It is such a special place with so many special missionaries. I feel so, so blessed to have been called here. #americasbestmission

Wednesday we spent the day in Birmingham again. We planned zone training with the zone leaders and got some stuff done for our car. We had a great lesson with our investigator Crystal! We read 1 Nephi 1 with her and she didn’t want to stop! She is such a good example of having a close relationship with God. I love her so much!

Thursday we made a baptism calendar with Valerie! She is SO excited to be baptized!! She came with us and had dinner with the sweetest members! She said she felt right at home there and that these are the people she needs to be with! She came to church on Sunday and loved it!! She fit right in!

On Friday we had zone training! Our zone is growing every transfer and I’m amazed that we keep getting the best missionaries! it was a lot of fun and we all ate some good bbq afterwards! After that we started our exchange with the Altadena B hermanas! I was with Sister Magness and she is the CUTEST thing and one of my bffs. Like seriously I love her so much. She is in her 2nd transfer and doing so well! For reals, we went contacting at the mall and I was amazed by how bold she was! We’re good pals and turns out we lived like 10 minutes away from each other in Utah and know tons of the same people!

We had the coolest experience yesterday. Last week a man named Jeffery randomly showed up to church. Nobody knew him, he’d never been before, but he said he felt a very very strong spiritual impression that he needed to come to our church. He said he had never felt anything so strong. We talked to him then and he said he was waiting things out then, but he called us later in the week and asked for a Book of Mormon. We went over with our ward mission leader and gave him and Book of Mormon and taught the restoration. I have NEVER been in such a spirit filled lesson! He comprehended everything and asked the best questions and was smiling SO big the whole time! He already said he knew the Book of Mormon was true even before he read it! It was the coolest experience ever. It really confirmed to me that this is HIS work, not ours. We literally didn’t do anything. It was ALL the spirit. There are people who are truly prepared! God is just letting us watch!

We spent the rest of the day on a team up with our ward mission leader, Brother Thunell and his daughter Megan! They are some of favorite people in the world! We went to cute tiny little Ragland to contact a referral. I LOVE small southern towns. There is truly nothing like it!

This gospel is true. It is the only way to deep, lasting joy.
All my love,
Sister Oscarson
